Habitat
By documenting the passing of time in a way that we can not experience, chronophotography reveals unexpected aspects of our daily life.
These time-lapse videos were recorded with a still camera shooting once a minute over 24 hours.
Photographs are cropped from video stills.
Habitat is a project combining photographs and time-lapse videos. I am interested in how chronophotography can show us unexpected aspects of places and activities belonging to our daily life, documenting the passing of time in a way that we can not experience.
I want to look at the places where I live with a systematic approach, like a scientist from another planet would study human habits and environment.
This video was recorded with a digital camera shooting once a minute over 24 hours.
The shows where this project has been exhibited have been curated by Luca Panaro (www.lucapanaro.net)
Post-production was assisted by Fabio Bonetti (www.fabiobonetti.it)
